Working with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), they collected data, supported exhibiting companies, handled networking and logistics, helped raise visitor numbers, distributed the KANI Newsletter and prepared a report for JICA. What is the Lagos International Trade Fair?
The Lagos International Trade Fair is a major annual commercial exhibition in Lagos. Exhibitors come from sectors such as manufacturing, technology, agriculture, consumer goods and industrial equipment. The Japan Pavilion is a shared space where Japanese companies exhibit together, led by JETRO, the Japan External Trade Organization.
How did KANI support the Japan Pavilion?
KANI members performed six roles:
- Supported JETRO staff to collect vital data for the event.
- Supported individual companies throughout the ten days.
- Provided networking and logistics support to help companies navigate the Nigerian market.
- Helped to raise visitor numbers at the Pavilion.
